Artist's Comments

Yes, this is my lame attempt at inking! I think I did a good job on it. I used Pigma Micron pens on it, mainly because I don't have any brushes or ink...

Its fantastic! a consideration for my nest tat actualy...
the only thing i can see wrong with it is the skull is mildly deformed but that might be intended... everything other than that its fantastic...

oh I love it! the skull came out amaizing, in my opinion. the deformation actually adds I think.
but I think that aside of the skull you got a bit lazy on the jacket and all.. it could've been much more amazing if you worked on it a bit more in my opinion...
beautiful touch!

Thanks! I inked it so the jacket could be partially blacked out to add more drama to the flaming skull when it was colored. But I really don't know how to ink, so I just went with what I felt.
Here's the link to the colored version [link] Maybe it will look better.
Thanks for your comments!!

Damn Bro, you put some serious time in on that skull it looks like... and if you didn't, damn.... you're an animal!!! I really like this piece... the detail totally reminds me of the Spawn holding a Skull piece. Looks like a serious drawing, with the emphasis on the skull, perfect placement for all of the detail. When you feel more comfortable with the inks, try using crow quills.. they rock Bro, but can be tricky to learn. That's what I've been using for the past few years now, and I think it's what made me wake up as an inker... line weight variation in one stroke is priceless. That's a pretty bitchen start for a growing artist Bro... well done. Dan Prado :)

Great job on the skull with the cross hatching, but I agree, the jacket seems really bland by comparison, though in viewing the colored version I understand why you did it that way. Cross hatching is an inking style I've never been able to grasp...

Thanks Dan! Yeah it took me a while to do this one, I wish it only took me one stroke to get some of the lines to look at least halfway decent. I've got a lot to learn if I wanna try my hand at inking. Props to ya'!!! You make it look way too easy!
